Hi, I'm Emil.

I'm a senior software engineer at gutefrage.net with six years of experience across backend services, data pipelines and full-stack product work. Recently I built ad-event collection with our Data/ML team and took an LLM feature from a hackathon prototype to production.

I studied law first, focusing on IP/IT law. Then I did a Master's in computational linguistics, where I worked on speech recognition for Chukchi, a low-resource language (paper). I'm looking for my next role, primarily but not exclusively in AI platform or full-stack engineering, ideally close to a data/ML team where that background counts. I also like client-facing work, with direct contact to the people using what I build.

When away from the keyboard: reading fiction, watching older movies and practicing contact sports.
